So I’m finally back in the swing of things after my much needed vacation.  First on my to-do list was this post.   Like most members of the female race…I like to indulge from time to time.  A mani/pedi…massage…facial…whatever it may be.  And when I allow myself these little pieces of heaven…I always go to the same place.  Urban Spa Chic.  It’s a great little spa tucked away in the nooks and crannies of West Town (best neighborhood in Chicago).  It’s such a happy place when you walk in…Tiffany’s blue cover the walls…it smells incredible…and there are goldfish for you to snack on while you wait…I mean how can you top that?!  Anyways…that is where I met Dayna, Lincoln’s mom.  She owns Urban Spa Chic and we got to know each other and yadda yadda yadda…I took photos of her adorable family.  And I had so much fun!  So without further ado…feast your eyes on this little guy…Lincoln.

Happy Monday!

I’m in the process of finishing up my last few loose ends before I take off to paradise (don’t worry…I’ll say bye before I leave)…but I just couldn’t leave without giving you a sneak peek of little Lincoln.  I had such a blast chasing him around the Morton Arboretum and getting the chance to enjoy a perfect fall day.  Here’s a teaser…

Stay tuned for some pumpkin waffle goodness….

Oh Gosh…where to start.  I had the privilege of knowing Ashley when she met Lee.  And trust me…there wasn’t a person that knew her that wasn’t positive he was the one.  Back then we worked together and she would run in the back room during her breaks, grab her phone and the biggest grin would appear on her face.  Lee had texted her something super cute and romantic.  Of course.  We all hated her because she had found the perfect guy.  😉 And that is really the only way to describe Lee…he is the perfect guy.  Ashley definitely hit this one out of the park….and when we got together last week for her engagement session…you could see it written all over her face.

And as a side note…Ashley is rawr-alicious.  This girl is the epitome of fierce.  See for yourself…

Ashley…you are drop dead gorgeous.

So Ashely, Lee and I actually got together on 2 separate days.  See…Lee work for the Bears (Go Colts) which grants him access to Soldier Field.  So…we met bright and early Saturday morning to do photos at Soldier Field.  Definitely the coolest place I’ve ever taken photos.  I was sort of on sensory overload…it was 7am…I’d had caffeine….we had an entire football stadium to ourselves…and I was shooting a fiercely hot couple…I was in my happy place.

I  pulled up to the their house in Arrowsmith, IL…unloaded my car…walked up to their door with pink balloons, bags filled with blocks, finger paint, hot pink ribbon, light pink ribbon, baby booties, sidewalk chalk, and other magical things that I can not recall.  They must have thought I was a lunatic walking into their house with so much weird stuff.  Because I definitely felt like a lunatic.  But oh no…I plopped my stuff down and they were ready to play.  I painted her…taped blocks to her…made her frolic with balloons…and she was SUCH a good sport!  The whole time I felt like I was on some crazy photography drug and they both went along with every idea I had.  The perfect clients.  And the result…super cool photos that I hope they treasure forever.  And not to mention they are like the most adorable couple ever…love them!  Anyways…check it!

Katie and David…thanks for being so awesome.  You guys are a photographer’s dream!  I can’t wait for this little girl to get here…I’m rooting for October 26th!!
