The other night my very design-savvy friend came with me to Home Depot to pick out the paint color for my new office.  I’m not exactly the most decisive person…nor am I a risk taker when it comes to paint color…so she came along to guide me down the right path.  I usually stand in front of the paint display for a good hour deciding between winter white, bone, or sandy beige.  Very exciting colors I know.  After a few hours at home depot…and a lot of coaxing from Sid…I was in the self checkout line with more paint than I knew what to do with.  We went with Delicious Melon for the office (which I am currently in love with)…but also left with smaller containers of various chalkboard paints, Italian Olive, and Tibetan Orange.   I had no clue what I was going to use theses colors for…until now.  My bedroom has been in the “under construction” phase since I moved in 4 years ago.  It’s kind of turned into my storage closet and place for all things that don’t have a place.  Well not for long.  Lately, I have been obsessed with the color Olive…so I have decided I am turning my bedroom into an Olive Oasis.  That little can of Italian Olive I picked out at Home Depot is going to be put to good use.  So today on Fashion Friday…here is my vision for my Olive Oasis…coming soon to bedroom near you.

I’m off to the WPPI Road Trip…which I’m SUPER stoked about…but I just wanted to hop on here and share a little sneak peek with you.  Colleen and J.R. were so much fun to work with and the way they would look at each other made my heart melt.  I swear…it’s real life Barbie and tall/dark/handsome Ken.  🙂  No joke!  There’s many more where this came from but for now here’s a little tease…

I’ve put this off as long as possible…but it is time.  This week…the humidity disappeared and cool air moved in.  The nights became a little chilly and the windows opened up.  I had my first taste of fall and it was delightful.  I’m officially ready for all things autumn.  I can’t wait to dust off the boots…pull my jackets out of the closet and wrap myself up in fall’s best accessory.  Scarves make me happy…simple as that.  I’m daydreaming about the first chilly day where I step out of Starbucks with my hot pumpkin spice coffee in hand and the first drink warms my whole body.  Where everything gets a little cozier and pumpkin is the flavor of the month.  It’s the perfect time of year and nothing makes me happier.  So today on Fashion Friday it’s officially fall…and I’m so ready.

One word…scarves.  Enough said.

Scarves

I can’t wait for the first day when I NEED a jacket.   I’m so ready to get cozy… Jackets

Boots are my weakness.  I have major boot fever and every one of these give me butterflies.  Boots

I saved the best for last.  PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!  Pumpkin anything is my favorite.  Last year I was on a mission to find anything and everything pumpkin and this year the search continues.  Yes, those are Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses you see down there.  There are no words.

Happy Fashion Friday!  Have a terrific weekend! Come on scarf weather!

Oh my goodness, a gal after my own heart! I love fall so very much! And boots with dresses is pretty much my uniform for half of the year! I have an entire boot closet…it’s a major problem…

And don’t even get me going on pumpkin! I don’t like cookies, cakes, scones, or any baked goods really until you throw pumpkin into the mix! Then I’m all over it…way too much really. I give myself pumpkin Sundays in the fall, the one day that I let myself indulge in a Venti pumpkin latte or other goodies, because if I didn’t restrict myself in the pumpkin department, I would gain 20 pounds every fall!! Haha.ReplyCancel

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with Trevor Johnson from Trevor Johnson Photography.   I met him in Rockford, WI to shoot the very fun wedding of Mike & Sarah.  Within the first few seconds of meeting Sarah I knew this was going to be a good day.  She was so laid back yet so excited to be marrying the man of her dreams.  Every time she heard Mike’s name her face would instantly light up.  I mean this die-hard Packers fan wore a Bears garter for her future hubby…if that’s not love I don’t know what is??!  Even having just met them, there was no doubt in my mind that these two were meant to be.  Mike and Sarah…I wish you nothing but the best and hope that your wedding day is only the beginning of so many more happy days to come…

Favorite moment of the day.  They disappeared behind the corner after their exit and just basked in the fact that they were husband and wife.  Love it.

It’s happening.  Tomorrow is the day I have been waiting for for decades.  I literally want to jump up and do a happy dance when I think about it…and in less than 36 hours it’s happening.  What is it you ask….well let me tell you.   We’re going to see MEATLOAF!!!!!!!!!  My dad and I have been wanting to do this for as long as I can remember…and we finally made it happen.  I can see it now..motorcycles rev…guitars scream…Meatloaf appears and the whole audience is waiting on the edge of their seats for those iconic words.  “I would do an…y..thing fooor love…”  Yep…I just got chills.  Just in case Meatloaf happens to glance my way…I have to be dressed to impress.  So of course I thought it would be a perfect topic for Fashion Friday…what to wear when you’re going to see your musical hero…

I feel it’s only right that I lean little more on the edgy side.  Crap…I guess I need to go shopping for edgy clothes.  Hot Topic here I come.  😉
