I walked into the room and you could feel the anticipation pouring off the girls. In matching robes they all hustled about making sure every detail was in order to make this the most perfect day. Danielle was sitting in a chair as the hairdresser put the finishing touches on her veil. I had just finished photographing her details and there was a little downtime before it was time for her to get dressed. I was taking in the excitement of the wedding day scurrying around me and I leaned over to ask Danielle…are you nervous? Now, I ask this to all my brides. Just to gauge how they are feeling and to ultimately let them know that everything will be perfect. In a quiet voice…full of so much happiness…Danielle looked up at me and simply replied…no, I love him.
It seems so small but it’s little things like that, that make Danielle and Josh so special. Their love is raw are rare. They wear it on their sleeve and with gut-wrenching pride. But at the same time…there is something so soft about them. Like when they’re together…they’re unbreakable…but also know they will always have a soft place to land. Being able to document their incredible day was such an honor and I think every person there will agree that is was a day no one will soon forget.
Danielle and Josh…thank you so much for making me such a special part of your wedding day. You guys are the real deal and make me soooooooo grateful to do what I do. We may live far apart but I am demanding a double date night in our future. Love you both!!!!!!!!!!
A HUGE thank you to my second shooter, Karina Mora-Metts, for helping me out!
And another giant thank you to all the vendors that made this day happen:
